Everybody is decorating!

I popped into the Cake Tin café the other day.  It's one of Malvern's hidden gems, tucked away in the Malvern Community Centre on Albert Road North.  I occasionally pop in if I'm around Great Malvern meeting clients and such, as it's easy to park than in the town itself and you can get a take away coffee if needed. Back in March I had a delightful Guinness and chocolate cake (a St. Patrick's day inspired goodie, no doubt), and this time I wanted to see what they had on offer.

However, my coffee-craving was forgotten as soon as I entered the foyer. For the décor of the place had changed since my last visit - many of the the chairs had a nice white freshness and the walls were aglow, devoid of any children's finger prints. Speaking to Kate or Ruth, I discovered that they themselves had done the painting and decorating and that they had roped in their other halves to help. It cheered the whole place up!

I didn't get a Guinness or chocolate cake this time around, but was satisfied with my take away coffee. If you want to visit the Cake Tin, then I would recommend it. It's clean, well kept, and the menu is suited to vegetarians. (One tip: they don't accept card payments, so make sure you take enough cash).
