I have a confession to make: I've been so busy with my hands I haven't had time to post an entry for my blog in months! (I know what you're thinking - I heard that dirty snigger at the back of the class. What do you think I am? The milkman?) No, I've been busy painting and decorating my way through the homes and businesses of Malvern (and actually farther afield for a few weeks in answer to a request from an old client).
Christmas, perhaps surprisingly, offered Malvern Decorators no reprieve from our hectic schedules. We had a deluge of calls from people who wanted their houses ready for Christmas visitors, and, slightly less fortunately, calls from people who had suffered leak damage with paint and plaster being ruined. It's typical fare for the winter months alas, especially when people leave their offices for a week long period without anyone going in everyday to check everything is in order (I can tell you of one business in Malvern where a tap was left on in a sink over the Christmas period and a plastic bowl filled up with devastating consequences for the building: the sink was on the top floor and when it overflowed it went through the two floors below! An utterly dreadful shock for the owners coming back to start the new year).
As always, we are getting enquiries for external painting and decorating booked in at this time for when the weather gets warmer and drier. And as always, I would ask that anyone looking for external paint work to contact us at the earliest possibility to ensure we can get their requirement booked in - spaces can fill up quickly, especially if we take on a single large property or job that can take weeks.
If I don't suddenly decide to change jobs and become a milkman, then I will try to update this painting blog with more regularity this year. I know many of you are gnashing at the teeth to hear my latest words, so I shall endeavour to give you full satisfaction when the time allows (no more sniggering thank you!)
