This week, the Malvern Gazette is urging gardeners to take pictures of their favourite spring floral displays for the Malvern in Bloom photo competition. As a decorator, I like to think I have an eye (or two) for appreciating colour and spring is my favourite time of year. The days get longer, the outdoors become busier, and even the birds change their songs.
And I know I am not alone in this. The enduring popularity of the designs of men like William Morris and the Arts and Craft Movement he inspired are a present-day testament to this, even in our age of rural abandonment amid the move to the cities.
The competition will run from 01st March through to April 20th.
