Malvern Decorators on the Worcester decoration job. A £197 million dream!

Last week we helped out on a job from a friend of ours in Worcester. Worcester Decorators needed some help due to a last minute job that was an urgent client demand and so we stepped in to fill out the 'thin red line' so to speak.

It was an old Worcester townhouse and the job took three days in total, decorating a stairwell and hallway and painting several good sized rooms. And the owner was an art lover who had several prints and paintings on display.

Which drew us to a new topic of discussion. The value of art. This last week has seen the record smashed for the most expensive art ever sold. Paul Gauguin's painting of 'When will you marry?' (1892) was sold at auction by an anonymous Swiss collector and is believed to have been purchased by a museum in Qatar.

It made us wonder, in conjunction with our Worcester partners, what we would all do with £197 million! We each had our lists, of course, similar no doubt to the lists we all compile when reading about someone winning the Euro millions, but strangely, giving up work forever wasn't on them! It was unanimous - even if you were filthy rich, we would still need something to do and friends to keep you grounded! (Even when you ten feet up a ladder!)
